Brent Family Lineage
My father's half-sister is part of the Brent family, and a mighty remarkable woman at that. Some of her nieces and nephews live near us and are part of our extended family. Great friends, excellent people. We are very blessed.

JESSE EMANUAL "JESS" BRENT was James Wilson Brent's father. He was born on September 29, 1884 in Bogue Chitto, Lincoln County, Mississippi. He married Ludye Hemingway in Lawrence County, Mississippi on November 13, 1905, and together they had 7 children: James Wilson, Charlton Giles, Jesse Edwin, Catherine "Kitty", Edith Drake, George Clark and Wilson Hemingway. He passed away on September 10th, 1955 in Redwood, Warren County Mississippi and is buried in Cedar Hill Cemetary, Vicksburg. His name is listed in the WWI Civilian Draft Registration Database at Rootsweb as Brent, Jesse Emanuel born on September 29, 1884, Copiah, MS. There is a James Clyde Brent listed in the Draft Registration database as well, born on November 12, 1886 in Bogue Chitto, Harrison County, Mississippi. Is this his brother?
JAMES WILSON BRENT was born on September 9, 1908 in Price's Creek, Lawrence County, Mississippi. He married Jessie Evelyn Cobb, who was born on January 20, 1911 in Slaughters, Kentucky. James passed away on November 16, 1941 in Oden, Daviess County, Indiana. Jessie passed away on January 6, 1967 in Bastrop, Louisana. Jesse was buried in Slaughters.
